Westin builds its range around what actually works on the water, and the Westin Ricky The Roach Shadtail is a fine example of that approach.
An Artificial Roach for Pike and Zander
The Westin Ricky The Roach Shadtail is a realistic soft lure that closely replicates a roach and pairs that lifelike profile with the action of a large paddle tail. That tail produces a pronounced rolling, flanking movement and pushes strong pressure waves through the water. Ricky starts working the moment it hits the surface, and its action shifts with retrieve speed - from a gentle roll and wobble at slow pace through to wild, erratic kicks of the 'tail fin' at higher speeds. That range of action means you can fish it effectively across very different retrieve speeds and adapt it to a wide variety of conditions. When predators are keying in on deep-bodied prey, Ricky comes into its own. At 10 cm and 14 g, this version is well suited to any medium spinning rod and takes both pike and zander equally well. Each lure is hand-painted and finished with close attention to detail.
