Westin W2 Dropshot

For Fussy Perch and Zander - From the Bank or the Boat

The Westin W2 Dropshot are spinning rods from the beginner-friendly W2 rod series. The two models differ solely in their length, which divides them neatly between two distinct fishing situations. The shorter model is well suited for use from a boat, kayak, or float tube, while the longer model is ideally matched to bank fishing. A sensitive tip action combined with a powerful backbone gives you a solid foundation for tempting finicky perch and zander. These rods are in their element with light to medium-heavy weights - and you're not limited to the drop shot rig either; other light finesse techniques are equally well served by the Westin W2 Dropshot.

A Light yet Powerful Blank

At the heart of the Westin W2 Dropshot sits a light and powerful 24/30 T High Performance blank. It gives you clear feedback on what's happening on the bottom while carrying enough reserve power to handle hard-fighting perch. Even when you need to strike at full casting distance, the Westin W2 Dropshot delivers.

Quality Components and a Clean Design

With its understated but refined look, the Westin W2 Dropshot is just as convincing on the eye. The classic black finish is lifted by silver accents that catch the light without being garish. The split grip in quality EVA gives you a comfortable hold and reliable grip throughout the session. To keep things tangle-free even with very thin braid, the rod is fitted with Seaguide SXOHLSG premium guides. The reel seat is the Seaguide XVS, which integrates cleanly into the grip and holds your fixed spool reel securely in place. A Dhook keeper rounds things off, making it easy to carry the Westin W2 Dropshot rigged and ready.
