Westin W6 Dropshot 2nd

Precision Drop Shotting from the Bank or the Boat

The Westin W6 Dropshot 2nd is the second generation of spinning rods built specifically for the drop shot rig. These exceptionally well-balanced rods feature an extremely sensitive tip action that lets you see and feel every nudge. You can work your lure with real precision, almost dancing it along the bottom. The balance also means you can fish with very thin braid, which only adds to the lure's action. When perch, largemouth bass or zander do commit, solid backbone drives the hook home reliably, even at distance. If you're after a drop shot rod for bank or boat fishing that delivers outstanding feedback and precise bite detection, the W6 Dropshot 2nd will not let you down.

Distinctive Design and Serious Performance

The Westin W6 series turns heads with its striking deep-red blank and black handle section, and backs up those looks with serious performance on the water. At the heart of the rod is a first-rate 40T+T1100 Torayca High Performance Carbon blank, paired with the innovative 3C-Handle to form a perfectly matched unit. The direct connection to the blank noticeably increases sensitivity and gives you precise control over your lure at all times. Beyond that fine feedback, the specially shaped grip delivers excellent ergonomics for long sessions. Westin fits the Fuji SiC ring system throughout for first-class casting performance. The ergonomic Fuji KSKSS16/ASH reel seat and the practical Seaguide Black Special hook keeper round off a thoroughly considered build. This combination of striking aesthetics and technical refinement makes the W6 rods a serious tool for demanding predator anglers.
