The Westin W6 Stealth Gold Baitcast LH is the left-hand version of the flagship model in Westin's baitcaster range. Available in 4 sizes and multiple gear ratios, there is a model to suit every method and target species - whether you are working hard lures for perch, surface lures for asp, vertical jigging for zander, or throwing large spinnerbaits for pike.

Durable, Strong, and Exceptionally Reliable

Durability and strength were central priorities in the development of the Westin W6 Stealth Gold Baitcast LH. The sizes 51 through 201 feature a robust, one-piece aluminium frame with a carbon side plate, while the 301 size goes a step further with a full aluminium frame. Both constructions offer excellent feel in the hand and provide a twist-free, rigid housing for the finely tuned GT-A gearing. Combined with 10+1 ball bearings, this delivers a notably smooth and effortless retrieve.

The full carbon handle with non-slip rubber grips is comfortable both to hold and to turn. It also features the Line View function, integrated into the fixing screw, which lets you note the breaking strain of the line on the spool - so you always know exactly what line you have loaded. Line is attached to the spool quickly and securely via the patented Fast Line Connector system, which provides a reliable, slip-free hold.

A 6-shoe CBS6 centrifugal brake, working alongside the finely adjustable cast control, delivers consistent casting performance. You can dial the baitcaster in precisely to the lure weights you are using, making long, accurate casts straightforward. The drag clicker is particularly useful in practice: its audible signal during line release lets you play fish with even greater control.

Three Lubricants for Optimal Greasing

Westin has chosen 3 different lubricants for the W6 Stealth Gold Baitcast LH, each selected to match the demands of its specific component. The brake system uses a grease with a high melting point, maintaining consistent braking performance even during extended, hard-fought battles when powerful fish strip line repeatedly. The gearing is greased with a medium-viscosity lubricant - fluid enough to keep the retrieve smooth, yet thick enough to resist being washed out quickly. Finally, the anti-reverse bearings are treated with a cold-resistant grease that delivers full performance even in low temperatures.

SSG, MSG, and HSG

The Westin W6 Stealth Gold Baitcast LH is available in 3 gear ratio variants. The SSG models are the slow-retrieve variants, the HSG models are the high-speed variants, and the MSG models are the all-round option.

The low gear ratio SSG models excel with high-resistance lures such as crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and chatterbaits, and come into their own whenever a slow, deliberate retrieve is called for. The high-speed HSG models are the specialists for fast retrieves and situations where you need to pick up slack line quickly - jigging, twitching, and jerking being prime examples. Both the SSG and HSG variants are available in sizes 51, 101, and 301, covering everything from perch fishing to dedicated pike setups.

The MSG variant sits as a middle ground between slow and fast. It does not match the outright performance of the SSG or HSG in their respective disciplines, but it offers the versatility to handle virtually any method - ideal if you would rather have one highly capable setup than several dedicated combos. This variant is available exclusively in the 201 size.
