Westin W8 Super Finesse 2nd

Top Performance for Ultralight and Finesse Lure Fishing

The Westin W8 Super Finesse 2nd is a spinning rod built specifically for ultralight and finesse lure fishing. Like every other model in the W8 series, it delivers the highest quality and outstanding performance - whether you're working a small river or targeting predators in modern street fishing. The range of applications is broad: from jigging with tiny soft plastics to cranking and twitching micro hard lures, right through to light metal lures such as spoons and spinners. Primary targets are smaller predators such as perch, trout and chub, though the Westin W8 Super Finesse 2nd handles larger incidental catches just as well.

Razor-Sharp Feedback and Enough Cushion During the Fight

The Westin W8 Super Finesse 2nd sits at the top end of modern finesse fishing and is built around a high-performance Torayca T1100GC blank that combines low weight with impressive stability. The key here is the Medium Fast action: it delivers razor-sharp feedback all the way to the handle, while still providing enough cushion during the fight to absorb the runs of hard-fighting predators. The refined FE2O3 iron oxide finish reflects the technical ambition of this precision tool, which remains completely fatigue-free to handle even during long sessions. For a perfectly balanced setup, pairing it with a size 1000 to 2000 fixed spool reel is recommended to get the most out of the blank's full dynamics.

High-End Components and Exclusive Details

Performance and durability are at the heart of how the Westin W8 Super Finesse 2nd is put together. Westin has gone all-in on a high-end setup: the tangle-free Fuji SiC guides and the precise Fuji T2C Carbon reel seat form a harmonious unit with the blank, while the understated Seaguide Arc Hook 2.5 completes the picture as a functional hook keeper. Every rod carries an individual serial number, making it unique. The Westin W8 Super Finesse 2nd is supplied in a high-quality neoprene rod bag and a triangular cardboard box.
