Zeck Barsch-Alarm Spin

A Perch Rod Series Born from Collaboration with Johannes Dietel

Zeck developed the Barsch-Alarm rod series in close collaboration with Johannes Dietel. The Zeck Barsch-Alarm Spin comprises 9 spinning rods designed primarily for perch fishing, covering just about every method you could want. Every rod in the range is built around a highly sensitive blank made from premium 40T Toray carbon, fitted with lightweight Fuji SIC Feather Light Duty guides in stainless steel frames. The guides are set at tight spacing, which further sharpens the blank's sensitivity and delivers exceptional feedback. From the handle up to the first guide, the rods feature a decorative wrap; above that, the blank runs bare with a textured surface. The grip is a split grip combining different materials: the foregrip - the section you hold - is wrapped in 3A cork for excellent feel and comfort in any weather or temperature. At the centre sits the refined, ergonomically designed Fuji reel seat, and the reel clamp is finished in a carbon-look that matches the decorative wrap. The rear grip is finished in EVA - both sharp-looking and highly durable. The full-rubber end cap serves a practical purpose too: on a boat, particularly an aluminium one, it prevents the rod from clattering when you set it down, eliminating a potential fish-spooking noise. Grips are kept deliberately short throughout the range. The foregrip is shaped so you can easily get a finger onto the blank - though with the rod's outstanding feedback, you'll feel everything anyway. The short rear grip means these rods work just as well from a boat, float tube or kayak, with no risk of the handle catching on your clothing. For easy transport, every rod is two-piece without any compromise to the action. The Zeck Barsch-Alarm Spin rods have been thought through to the last detail and promise great fishing enjoyment.

The Twitch & Play Series

The Twitch & Play Series is built specifically for close-range fishing. These are relatively short rods that allow extremely precise casting, while the lure presentation is equally accurate and sensitive. They are particularly well suited to rigs and twitchbaits. One important note on the 'casting weight' specification: it actually refers to a lure weight - the weight of the twitchbaits these rods are matched to. The rods can handle more in terms of casting, especially with lower-resistance techniques such as finesse rigs.

The Search & Jig Series

The Search & Jig Series is the right choice whenever casting distance and a confident strike at range are what matter. These rods suit both bank anglers and boat anglers on large waters - in short, any situation where extra distance puts more fish in the net. They perform best with soft lures on a jig head or a Cheburashka rig. The Search & Jig MH also works very well for light zander fishing. The Search & Jig H, with a maximum casting weight of 42 g, is built for targeting big perch in fast-flowing water and also excels when fishing for zander and sea trout.

The Solid Tip Series

The Solid Tip Series features spliced solid carbon tips that make these rods ideal for finesse rigs, drop shot and ultralight applications. The solid tips are slightly stiffer than is typical, blending harmoniously into the action of the blank. Bite detection is outstanding, and the backbone gives you the power to play even larger fish with confidence. The light UL model is also well suited to trout fishing.
