Zeck Sparrow ST STL Spinning

A Lightweight Rod for Street Fishing and Trout on the Stream

The Zeck Sparrow ST STL Spinning is as light as it sounds, yet has real substance behind it. At 1.90 m, this short, fine spinning rod features a full carbon tip - the Solid Tip (ST) design - delivering exceptionally sensitive bite detection with minimal resistance, ideal for cautious fish. The blank has a very fast action that translates into high sensitivity and feedback throughout. It's equally at home street fishing for perch and other small predators as it is on a stream after trout. Whatever takes the lure, a rod this light makes the fight genuinely enjoyable, and thanks to its surprisingly firm backbone it handles larger bycatch without complaint. The range of lures and techniques it covers is as broad as its applications: finesse rigs and small jigs for perch, small plugs, spinners, and spoons for trout - it handles all of them with ease. The STL variant also scores when it comes to getting from A to B: STL stands for Short Transport Length, achieved through a central two-piece construction that keeps the transport length down to 99 cm without compromising the action.

Fuji Throughout - Guides, Reel Seat, and Hook Keeper

As is standard with Zeck, the Sparrow ST STL Spinning is built around high-quality Fuji components. A 7+1 Fuji Alconite guide set with a Fuji BCKLAG start guide pairs well with the blank, supporting performance in casting, lure presentation, and playing fish. Light, strong, and smooth are the defining qualities of this guide configuration. The grip is a split grip design: the fore grip and rear section are fitted with firm, black EVA, with a carbon section in between behind the reel seat. The Fuji TVS reel seat is one of the most popular on the market for good reason - it sits ergonomically sound in the hand, and its cut-out design contributes to the rod's excellent feedback values. You'll feel every subtle pluck. As you'd expect, the Zeck Sparrow ST STL Spinning also comes with a Fuji EHKM-B hook keeper, secured with a rubber ring so it slides easily and can be removed if needed.
