Salmo Slider

A Jerkbait with Legendary Status

The Salmo Slider is one of the most recognised jerkbaits in Europe, and it has earned that reputation over a long time. Its legendary status comes not just from its outstanding fish-catching ability, but equally from its remarkably simple retrieve. Unlike many other jerkbaits, you don't need to work it with complex rod movements - retrieving via the reel is entirely sufficient. Just crank it in with short, sharp turns and it immediately produces its distinctive side-to-side gliding action, rolling seductively on its flattened, deep flanks. Irresistible to pike, and in the smaller sizes, highly effective for other predators too. It gets even easier: you can also simply wind the Salmo Slider in at a steady, constant pace. It then tracks a tight S-curve through the water, and even this straightforward approach delivers real results.

Versatility in Every Dimension

The Salmo Slider comes in a range of lengths and colour patterns, and in both floating and sinking versions - giving you an exceptionally wide range of applications. The floating variants are ideal for shallow water or when you want to keep the lure close to the surface. The sinking versions come into their own at deeper spots, where you can control the running depth simply by letting the lure sink for as long as needed. The size range opens up even more options: the larger models at 10 cm and 12 cm are tailor-made for pike. But there are also 2 smaller variants at just 5 cm and 7 cm. Alongside perch, chub and other smaller predators, they are a real insider tip for asp. They cast extremely far and can be retrieved at high speed - and asp simply can't resist an approach like that, hitting hard and fast.

Robust Construction and Now with BKK Treble Hooks

The Salmo Slider is built to last, as it always has been. Its exceptionally robust construction shrugs off even the sharpest pike teeth with nothing more than the odd surface scratch - a lure that keeps going season after season. Alongside that outstanding durability, a key development is that Salmo has now fitted the Slider with BKK treble hooks. These are ultra-sharp and exceptionally strong, hooking fish reliably and giving you the confidence to land even the most powerful opponents. The Salmo Slider is a top jerkbait for pike anglers, but it goes well beyond that - particularly the smaller sizes, which carry real potential for other species and reward an extremely varied retrieve.
