Berkley PowerBait Swordtail

A Small Larva Imitation with Highly Reactive, Subtle Action

The Berkley PowerBait Swordtail is a 3 cm soft plastic designed to imitate a small dragonfly or beetle larva. Its appeal spans a wide range of species - from non-predatory fish to predators - making it a genuine all-round lure that regularly throws up surprises. The body is slightly bulkier and features legs and antennae, while the pintail-style tail tapers to a very fine, slender point. The result is maximum reactivity from the smallest animation - a subtle yet highly effective action that consistently triggers bites.

The Famous PowerBait Attractant

As the name suggests, the Berkley PowerBait Swordtail is loaded with the renowned PowerBait attractant. This formula is backed by over thirty years of research and is continuously refined. Extensive testing confirms its effectiveness: fish not only take the lure more readily but also hold on to it significantly longer - up to 18 times as long. That extends the critical window for you to strike, leads to an improved hook-up rate, and ultimately results in more fish landed.

How to Fish It

The PowerBait Swordtail is particularly well suited to horizontal presentations such as the drop shot or micro vertical jigging. It also performs well on a jig head or a Chebu rig. It is equally at home when ice fishing or street fishing.
