For Large Lures and Large Pike

The BFT Lizzard X Pierre Monjarret 8'6'' XH - like every rod in the Lizzard X series - carries an individual serial number, making each one a genuine one-of-a-kind. Developed by Pierre Monjarret himself, this rod is the direct result of his desire for a baitcasting rod capable of handling large lures such as the Giant Pig Shad and the Miuras Mouse, while remaining sensitive enough to work medium-sized Buster Jerks. It throws these pike lures extremely far, and keeps you in complete control at all times - whether you're presenting the lure with precision or fighting a monster pike. When that fish goes in the net, you'll have no trouble playing it out all the way to the landing net.

Very Strong and Very Well Balanced

Pierre Monjarret - a Frenchman living in Ireland - is well known in pike fishing circles, not least from his appearances alongside Stefan Trumstedt on YouTube. With the BFT Lizzard X Pierre Monjarret 8'6'' XH, he channelled that expertise into a very strong, very well-balanced big bait rod. The High Modulus Anti Torsion Blank features a low resin content and X-Wrap Carbon Taping, loading up superbly during the cast and delivering enormous reserves of power for the biggest pike. The blank is fitted with American Tackle Titanium Ti-forged rings and a handle wrapped in Japanese shrink tube. The ergonomic G2 Edge 17 reel seat completes the package, contributing to the outstanding feel of this pike rod.
