Daiwa Pro Staff Yak & Belly Pro Travel

A Travel Rod Built for Small Watercraft

The Daiwa Pro Staff Yak & Belly Pro Travel is a travel rod from the Pro Staff series, designed specifically for use on small watercraft. The Pro Staff series was developed in close collaboration with experienced Daiwa team anglers and covers a wide range of models for virtually every fishing technique. This rod has been tailored to the needs of kayak, canoe, float tube and SUP anglers. The extra-short handle lets you work the rod in the tightest of spaces, the overall length is ideal for close-range handling, and the compact transport length means you can take it anywhere. A genuine standout feature is the Daiwa exclusive metal locking ring built into the handle. It is rotatable and fitted with an eyelet for securing the rod. You can also use the tapered aluminium ring in the handle to attach a safety lanyard to the Daiwa Pro Staff Yak & Belly Pro Travel.

A Strong, Light Blank for Medium to Heavy Lures

Like every rod in the series, the Daiwa Pro Staff Yak & Belly Pro Travel is built around a fast and resilient HVF Nanoplus Carbon blank. These slim, extremely fast blanks deliver an ideal blend of sensitivity and raw power. The blank is further reinforced with an X45 carbon fibre construction, which increases torsional stiffness and reduces the risk of breakage. The V-Joint connection has been treated with a dedicated layer of BIAS carbon, making this vulnerable section highly resistant while at the same time significantly improving the bend curve of the blank. The blank handles medium to heavy lures with ease and is equally capable when targeting saltwater predators.

Quality Fittings That Complete the Package

The Daiwa Pro Staff Yak & Belly Pro Travel is equipped with high-quality components that match the performance of the blank. A Fuji TVS reel seat holds your fixed spool reel securely in place and sits perfectly within the black EVA handle. Fuji Alconite K-guides give your braid a smooth, friction-free run along the blank. If you're after a travel rod built specifically for small watercraft, the Daiwa Pro Staff Yak & Belly Pro Travel is a serious option worth considering.
