Light, Modern Spinning Rods

With the Prorex X range, Daiwa has built a series of rods tailored specifically to modern lure fishing. Each rod is built around a slim, high-quality HMC+ carbon blank that keeps weight low while retaining genuine power reserves. Seaguide rings with ceramic inserts and tangle-free frames contribute both to the low overall weight and the excellent balance in hand. The rods fish comfortably and look the part too - the black blank is wrapped with carbon X-bindings on the surface, which not only adds visual appeal but also increases blank stiffness. Several Prorex X series exist for different applications, so there is a version to suit every style.

The Prorex X Dropshot - an Extremely Sensitive Tip

The Daiwa Prorex X Dropshot is, strictly speaking, not a series but a single rod - and it is optimised for drop shot fishing. It features a fast action with an ultra-fast full-carbon tip that is highly sensitive, picking up even the most tentative bites so you can react to the lightest of contacts. The stiff backbone not only transmits bites and contact clearly but also drives the hook home with authority - particularly useful when targeting zander. At 2.40 m, the Daiwa Prorex X Dropshot works equally well from the bank or from a boat. A superb, very light rod for any dedicated drop shot angler.
