Crankbait Series with a Curved Diving Bill

The Daiwa Steez Crank Bait Series covers several crankbaits in different sizes and running depths, letting you work every layer of the water column systematically from top to bottom. All models share a compact body profile and two internal tungsten ball weights. One ball is fixed behind the belly treble hook, giving the lure excellent running stability through precise balance. The second ball travels freely along a channel from head to tail: on the cast it shifts to the rear, stabilising the flight path and delivering significantly greater casting distance. Long casts matter with crankbaits - the further you cast, the longer the lure can run at its intended depth and the more ground you cover. The slightly curved semi-round diving bill gets the lure down quickly and makes it particularly well suited to fishing in soft cover: the curved profile glides through weeds more cleanly and deflects off bottom structure, keeping hang-ups to a minimum. The bill also produces comparatively little water resistance, so these crankbaits retrieve smoothly and comfortably.

The Daiwa Steez Crank 500F DR measures 7 cm in length and weighs 27.8 g. It reaches a maximum running depth of approximately 5.2 m, making it the deepest-running model in the series. Two extremely sharp Saqsas treble hooks in size 2 are fitted as standard; their specialist coating allows them to penetrate instantly and delivers an excellent hook-up rate. The lure works at its best on a steady retrieve or a stop & go presentation. It is a hard lure that produces particularly well for big perch, zander, pike and largemouth bass.
