Fox Rage Pro Shad

A True Classic for Pike

The Fox Rage Pro Shad is often confused with the Zander Pro Shad, but the two are quite different. The Pro Shad has a flatter, slightly more elongated body and is fitted with large 3D eyes. Its action sets it apart too: rather than a fast, tight wobble, it produces a rolling action with slower, more pronounced flanking movements. That combination of looks and action, paired with excellent colour patterns, has made it a classic pike lure.

Built to Last

The Fox Rage Pro Shad is not only highly effective on pike - it's also remarkably tough. Thanks to its very durable rubber compound, it shrugs off multiple attacks. If it does pick up a few cuts, you can repair it easily by melting or gluing it back together. As a rule, this is a shad you'll catch several fish on before it needs retiring.

From Jig Head to Shallow Rig to Stinger Rig

The Fox Rage Pro Shad comes in a range of sizes. From the 18 cm version upwards, it fishes very well on a shallow rig and other stinger rigs, making it suitable for all water depths, from the shallows right down to the bottom - and it also works very effectively for trolling. The smaller 10 cm and 14 cm sizes perform equally well on a jig head, whether you're cranking them through open water or working them with a classic jigging retrieve. Musaga jig heads in size 6/0 are an ideal match; for other brands, a 5/0 fits well.

Not Just for Pike

The Fox Rage Pro Shad is best known as an outstanding pike lure, but limiting it to that role would be a waste. In the smaller sizes it performs just as well as a perch and zander lure. The larger variants are also well suited for wels catfish and cod in saltwater. A highly versatile shad that promises one thing above all: good catches ranging from quality fish to true giants.
