Fox Rage Slick Shad 13 cm

Fox Rage is a trusted name among anglers worldwide, and the Slick Shad is a strong example of what the English manufacturer does well with soft lures.

The Slick Shad 13 cm up Close

At 13 cm long and 12 g, the Slick Shad packs in a lot of detail. The body is very slim yet rounded, closely resembling a small smelt. Its highly active tail puts out high-frequency vibrations even at low retrieve speeds, which means you can present this soft lure both very passively and very provocatively.

Like all Fox Rage soft plastics, the Slick Shad features the brand's distinctive eyes with the Rage logo. These 3D reflective eyes give predators such as perch, pike and zander a clear focal point to lock onto when attacking.

The offset pockets on the belly and back are a real bonus for finesse fishing, making it straightforward to rig weedless and work the lure through snag-heavy spots.

A Solid Colour Range for the Slick Shad

Fox Rage has put together a well-balanced selection of colours. The range moves between very natural, semi-translucent patterns that sit close to real baitfish and bold, aggressive combinations such as Lemon Tiger.

How to Fish It

The Slick Shad works on all standard rigs as well as on a jig head. A 4/0 jig hook is the classic choice and every bit as effective as finesse presentations on a drop shot rig, Texas rig (T-rig) or Carolina rig (C-rig).
