Fox Rage is one of the biggest names in predator tackle, and the Slick Shad is a slim soft lure for pike, perch, and zander that is well on its way to becoming a genuine classic.
A Slim, High-Action Shad
At 9 cm in length and 5 g, this is a compact, slender shad with a clean, attractive finish - but don't let the modest size fool you. The high-frequency paddle tail action kicks in at very low retrieve speeds, producing fine vibrations that draw predators in even when you're barely moving the lure.
A belly slot for offset hooks means you can fish the Fox Rage Slick Shad on any rig, including weedless across beds of aquatic vegetation - exactly where big perch and zander sit during summer.
Another distinctive feature is the reflective 3D eyes with the Rage logo, which give predators an additional point of attack.
The colour range covers a wide selection of UV finishes as well as natural patterns, so there is a suitable option for every situation.
How to Fish It
The Slick Shad in 9 cm works across all standard predator rigs. The classic presentation is on a light jig head in size 2/0. It also performs well on a drop shot rig and is often an ideal size for perch and zander. Thanks to the offset pockets, you can also mount it on a Carolina rig or Texas rig - devastatingly effective for big perch.
Slick Shad 9 cm Young Perch
Absolute favorite - Young Perch Whether 30+ perch or 60s zander, everything caught. Very durable bait with good action. Motoroil also catches pretty well. Always happy.:)
