Hearty Rise Dark Soul Travel (Casting)

Baitcasting on Holiday by the Sea

The Hearty Rise Dark Soul Travel (Casting) are 4-piece travel rods built with carefully selected, corrosion-resistant components, making them perfectly suited for saltwater use - which is exactly what they were designed for. Pack one in your luggage on your next coastal trip and you won't have to leave your baitcasting setup at home. They perform just as well in freshwater, too, so they're a solid choice wherever you fish.

Quality Components, Elegant Finish

The Hearty Rise Dark Soul Travel (Casting) are built on a high-quality NET-V III Carbon blank. Tuned precisely for the task at hand, the blank delivers outstanding performance: fast action, high sensitivity and a strong backbone. There's serious power loading up on the cast, launching lures to impressive distances, while the fine tip keeps you in touch with even the most tentative bites for excellent bite detection. When you do strike, the backbone provides a solid hook-set and plenty of reserves to handle hard-fighting saltwater predators. The Fuji Alconite guide set is robust, salt-resistant and supports the rod's performance throughout. The EVA split grip is ergonomically shaped for comfortable, fatigue-free fishing hour after hour, and the Fuji PTS reel seat matches the design perfectly while giving your baitcaster a secure, confident fit. As for looks - the elegant black finish with subtle red decorative wrappings gives these rods a genuinely premium appearance.

Models and Recommended Use

The Hearty Rise Dark Soul Travel (Casting) range covers a variety of models, each optimised for a specific purpose - proof that travel rods don't have to mean any compromise in performance.

DSCT-70M / 2.10 m / 6-28 g

The Hearty Rise Dark Soul Travel DSCT-70M is the lightest rod in the range, designed for light baitcasting in the sea. It handles light soft plastics and hard lures with ease - jigs, crankbaits and much more. Target species include sea bass and similarly sized saltwater predators, as well as perch, largemouth bass and zander in freshwater.

DSCT-71MH / 2.15 m / 8-38 g

The Hearty Rise Dark Soul Travel DSCT-71MH is built specifically for lighter baitcasting in salt water and handles both soft lures and hard lures with ease - shads, jigs, crankbaits and more. The slightly stronger backbone makes it a great fit for sea bass, cod and comparable saltwater predators, and in freshwater for perch, largemouth bass and zander. At 2.15 m, it works equally well from a boat or the bank.

DSCT-73H / 2.20 m / 14-42 g

The Hearty Rise Dark Soul Travel DSCT-73H steps up into heavier baitcasting territory, handling weightier soft lures and hard lures such as shads, jigs and crankbaits. In saltwater, sea bass, cod and hard-fighting coalfish are on the cards, while zander and pike are the prime targets in freshwater.

DSCT-75HH / 2.25 m / 15-56 g

The Hearty Rise Dark Soul Travel DSCT-75HH is built for heavier baitcasting at sea and handles both soft lures and hard lures with confidence. Whether you're targeting sea bass, cod, coalfish or other comparable saltwater predators, this rod is up to it. In freshwater, zander and pike are the ideal quarry.

DSCT-77XH / 2.30 m / 20-80 g

The Hearty Rise Dark Soul Travel DSCT-77XH is designed for heavy baitcasting in the sea, ideally matched to large soft lures and hard lures - big shads, slow jigs and more. Large sea bass, cod, coalfish and a range of other saltwater predators are well within its range, and the powerful backbone gives you the confidence to play even substantial fish. In freshwater, big zander and pike are the targets of choice.

DSCT-77XXH / 2.30 m / 40-150 g

The Hearty Rise Dark Soul Travel DSCT-77XXH is built for big lures and big predators - think cod, coalfish and other powerful saltwater species. An enormous backbone gives you the muscle to handle hard runs, while the sensitive tip still allows for a surprisingly delicate presentation. Large, heavy soft lures and hard lures such as shads and jigs are the lures of choice. In freshwater, this rod is a strong option for pike and wels catfish.
