Jackall Dunkle

Jackall is best known for top-quality hard lures, but the brand also offers some excellent soft plastics worth knowing about.

Soft Swimbait for Big Fish

The Jackall Dunkle was designed for largemouth bass and pike, but it will also tempt big zander into taking. The heavy body lets you cast enormous distances, yet the lure is also built for skipping under jetties and overhanging vegetation. That bulky profile skips cleanly across the surface before dropping right into the heart of the cover, where big fish are waiting. The broad head tapers down to a large paddle tail, which means you can work it incredibly slowly - keeping it in the strike zone for as long as possible.

Smart Dual-Clip System

The Jackall Dunkle comes rigged with an ultra-sharp twin hook mounted on a swivel. From the factory, this swivel is attached via a split ring to an eye set beneath the head, and the hook is held in the ideal position by a clip on the belly. On the take, the clip releases the hook so it can rotate freely. If you want to fish it close to the bottom around snaggy spots, you can remove the hook and swivel and mount them on the split ring at the front of the head instead - a second clip on top of the head holds the hook in position for this setup. You can then attach a drop weight to the lower eye and drag the lure along the bottom with significantly less risk of snagging. This smart dual-clip system lets you fish the Dunkle in a far wider range of ways, since an additional weight allows you to adjust the running action, the running depth and the sink rate to suit the conditions. That makes this soft swimbait a standout option for big fish across a wide variety of situations.
