Keitech FAT Swing Impact 3.8" (9.5 cm)

Keitech's soft lures have earned a loyal following among predator anglers - and the FAT Swing Impact is a big part of why.

A Ribbed Swimbait for Perch and Zander

The Keitech FAT Swing Impact 3.8" is a highly effective swimbait with a well-established reputation for perch and zander. At 9.5 cm, the ribbed body gives it real bulk, which makes it particularly attractive to larger predators. It's produced using Keitech's Two-Tone Injection process, where two differently coloured rubber compounds - each loaded with squid attractant and different amounts of salt - are injected into the mould together. The result is striking colour designs and excellent tracking behaviour. The differing salt content between the upper and lower body keeps the FAT Swing Impact running with exceptional stability. The intense squid attractant is among the most effective on the market - once a predator takes hold, it tends not to let go, giving you more time to set the hook.

Rolling Action and a Hard-Working Tail

The FAT Swing Impact has a distinctly intense action. The pronounced paddle tail stands out at 90° and kicks hard from side to side - you can actually feel it through a sensitive rod. On top of the tail action, there's a strong rolling action through the body as well. This combination is a key part of what makes the Keitech FAT Swing Impact so consistently productive. Even retrieved at a slow pace, it produces this highly enticing swimming behaviour.

Extremely Versatile

Like most Keitech shads, the FAT Swing Impact 3.8" works across a wide range of techniques. It suits almost any method, making it a popular choice for both classic jig anglers and finesse anglers alike.

Rigging Options:

Weightless on an Offset Hook - A slow, steady retrieve just below the surface is the key to this rig. It has proved particularly effective for night zander fishing.
Chikubi Rig - Nail sinkers are inserted into the body at the belly dots, causing the lure to sink a little faster. Match the weight of the nail sinkers to the size of the lure.
Texas & Carolina Rig - The classic Texas rig is a great option in heavily weeded water where you still need some weight, but it also works very well over clean ground. If you want a longer fall, switch to a Carolina rig instead.
Jig Head Rig - The jig head rig is the most widely used of all. Simply thread the Fat Swing Impact onto a jig head and you're ready to go. You can also opt for tungsten heads instead of traditional lead, which lets you fish the same weight with a smaller profile at the hook.
Trailer - The Fat Swing Impact also works very well as a trailer. The example shown uses it on a skirted jig head, but it performs just as well on chatterbaits and spinnerbaits.
