Keitech FAT Swing Impact 4.3" (11 cm)

A Highly Effective Swimbait for Perch, Pike and Zander

The Keitech FAT Swing Impact in 4.3" is an outstanding swimbait that has earned an excellent reputation as a lure for big perch, pike and zander. At 11 cm, the ribbed body already has considerable volume, making it particularly effective at drawing in larger predators. Keitech's Two-Tone Injection process injects two differently coloured rubber compounds into the mould - each loaded with squid attractant and differing amounts of salt. The result is visually striking colour designs and a perfectly balanced action. Keitech lures are well known for their extremely stable tracking, achieved through the different salt concentrations in the upper and lower body compounds. The squid attractant is among the most effective on the market - once a predator takes the lure, it rarely lets go.

Wild Tail Action Combined with a Rolling Action

The FAT Swing Impact has a very distinctive action. The pronounced paddle tail sits at a 90° angle to the body and kicks hard from side to side - so hard that you can feel it through a sensitive rod. On top of this tail action, the lure also produces a strong rolling action. The combination of both movement patterns is a key factor in making the Keitech FAT Swing Impact so incredibly effective. Crucially, this soft plastic develops its full action even at the lightest retrieve.

Extremely Versatile

Like many Keitech soft plastics, the FAT Swing Impact 4.3" can be fished in almost any way you choose. There is barely a technique it cannot be used for, which is why it is equally popular with classic jiggers and finesse anglers alike.

Rigging Options:

Weightless on an Offset Hook - A slow, steady retrieve just beneath the surface is the key with this rig. It has proved particularly effective for zander fishing at night.
Chikubi Rig - Nail sinkers are inserted into the body at the marked rings on the belly of the lure, causing it to sink a little faster. Match the weight of the nail sinkers to the size of the lure accordingly.
Texas & Carolina Rig - The classic Texas rig is highly effective when you need to fish through heavily weeded waters with some added weight, but it also works exceptionally well over clean ground. For a longer sink phase, swap the Texas rig for a Carolina rig.
Jig Head Rig - No rig sees more use than the jig head rig. Simply thread the FAT Swing Impact onto a jig head and you are ready to fish. You also have the option of using tungsten heads instead of traditional lead, giving you less bulk at the head for the same weight.
Trailer - The FAT Swing Impact also works very well as a trailer. The image shows it rigged on a skirted jig head, but it performs just as well on chatterbaits and spinnerbaits.
