The Keitech FAT Swing Impact 5.8" is one of the larger models in the series - a swimbait that is particularly well suited for zander and pike. At 14.5 cm, it presents a substantial mouthful that puts real pressure through the water and doesn't go unnoticed by predators. As with all other sizes, Keitech uses the Two-Tone Injection process, in which two differently coloured rubber compounds - each loaded with squid flavour and differing amounts of salt - are injected into the mould together. The result is highly attractive colour designs combined with a perfectly balanced action. The varying salt content in the upper and lower body compounds is key to this balance, keeping the lure stable and tracking true throughout the retrieve. On top of the visual appeal, the FAT Swing Impact 5.8" carries an intense squid attractant that ranks among the most effective scents on the market and encourages predators to hold on longer.

Wild Tail Kick and a Pronounced Rolling Action

The characteristic action of the FAT Swing Impact draws strikes from virtually all predators and makes these larger sizes excellent for steady retrieves. The distinctly pronounced paddle tail, angled at 90°, kicks hard from side to side - a movement you can actually feel through the rod. But that's not all: alongside the tail kick, the body produces a strong rolling action, creating an irresistible combination. Even the lightest pull is enough to get the Keitech FAT Swing Impact moving in its unmistakable way, triggering bite after bite.

Primarily for Jigging and Steady Retrieves

Like the smaller sizes, the FAT Swing Impact 5.8" can be fished in a wide variety of ways and is even worth considering for finesse presentations such as a Carolina rig. It's a particularly strong option when zander are holding further out, want a larger bait but prefer a slow sink rate. That said, it performs best when jigged or simply wound back as a swimbait. Day or night, large zander are caught on it regularly, and pike are equally willing takers of this soft plastic.

Rigging Options:

	Weightless on an Offset Hook - A slow, steady retrieve just below the surface is the key with this rig. It has proven especially effective for zander fishing at night.
	Chikubi Rig - Nail sinkers are inserted into the body at the marked points on the belly of the lure, causing it to sink a little faster. Match the weight of the nail sinkers to the size of the lure accordingly.
	Texas & Carolina Rig - The classic Texas rig works extremely well in heavily weeded water where you still need some weight to get the lure down, but it fishes just as effectively over clear ground. If you want a longer fall, swap to a Carolina rig instead.
	Jig Head Rig - No rig sees more use than the jig head rig. Simply thread the FAT Swing Impact onto a jig head and you're ready to fish. You can also opt for tungsten heads instead of traditional lead, giving you the same weight in a smaller profile at the hook.
	Trailer - The FAT Swing Impact also works very well as a trailer. The image shows it mounted on a skirted jig head, but it fishes equally well on chatterbaits and spinnerbaits.
