Rigging Options at a Glance
1. Jig Head Rig: The simplest way to rig the Drunk Dancer is on a jig head. Thanks to the recess at the head, it pairs with a jig head straight out of the packet and is then ready for most situations. You can either jig it along the bottom to target zander and deep-lying pike, or crank it over weed on a light jig head between 3 and 10 g. The upward-facing single hook also offers a good compromise between hooking efficiency and reduced snag risk. Mid-water jigging over weed beds can be equally productive - let it sink briefly, then wind it up a few turns, and repeat. We recommend a hook size 6/0.
2. Shallow Rig: When you want to work the lure through open water or over drop-offs without contacting structure or the bottom, a stinger hook such as a treble hook is the best option. This is attached using a Shallow Screw threaded into the head of the Drunk Dancer. You can use either a swivel or heavy wire to connect the Shallow Screw to the hook. Position the treble at the belly so that even tentative takes result in a hooked fish. Simply wind it through steadily with short pauses, or slow-roll it - the lure shines here too, as even the lightest tension gets the double tail working.
3. Offset Rig: If you are fishing in heavily snagged areas or want to run the Drunk Dancer straight through dense weed, use a suitably sized offset hook that can also be screwed in at the head. What makes this setup so effective is that even large offset hooks, pushed through the body well towards the rear, have no negative impact on the lure's action. All the movement is generated in the double tails, giving you maximum hook-ups with full action. This approach can be particularly successful in summer - for example, fishing directly on and between lily pads - a genuinely exciting technique.

- Striped Phantom - A highly transparent, light-permeable body that adapts to the water colour, with black perch-style stripes for clear water.
- Toxic Zebra - Motor oil body with a UV-active green pike pattern and red UV accents at the throat and paddle tail for extra attraction.
- Tropicana Tina - A classic, strongly UV-active Fire Tiger pattern for coloured water and low-light conditions.

I love him I and my family just rowed a bit by boat for fun at the nearby river and during a short break I thought I'd throw it a few times and look at his running behavior. I have it from the luredrop 05/23 in the special color and Bam after the third throw a 97 cm pike blows at me. Unfortunately, he bent the hook completely shredded the bait but I was still able to land it. Absolutely awesome bait I wish that LMAB would include the special color in the program, not only because it went great but because I found it very appealing.
