This Jig Head Has a Grip Like a Monkey
The range from Monkey Lures continues to grow, and BIG L has done it again with the Monkey Hooks - a completely redesigned hook shape built to work perfectly with every lure in the Monkey Lures lineup. The hook exits the soft lure earlier than on conventional jig heads, keeping the lure more flexible and making it easier for predators to inhale and fold. The high hook gap increases the distance between hook point and eye, so the hook finds purchase in the predator's mouth more reliably - a zander won't shake a Monkey Hook loose easily. On every head size, the eye sits close to the jig head, which means the rig picks up less weed and debris on the retrieve. To keep even very soft or slender soft lures from tearing and to hold them firmly in place, a Baitholder replaces the traditional lead barb.
The Monkey Hooks are available in two sizes - 2/0 and 4/0 - and three colour options plus an unpainted version:
Black - Pink
A black head with a subtle fluorescent pink spot on the lower section. Well suited to clear water and cautious predators.
Orange - Yellow
An orange base combined with a highly UV-active yellow. The head for coloured water and overcast days.
Green - White
A strongly UV-active green paired with a glow-in-the-dark spot. The 'aggression point' lights up in the dark, driving zander wild during night fishing.
Raw - Natural
The Monkey Heads are also available in an unpainted version. You can either paint them to your own taste or fish them straight out of the pack. All other features are identical to the painted models.
Size Guide
Size 2/0: Perfect for lures between 6 and 8 cm (for example, ideal for the King Lui in 7.5 cm)
Size 4/0: Perfect for lures between 10 and 12 cm (for example, ideal for the King Lui in 10 cm)
These jig heads work just as well with soft lures from other brands.
