A New Benchmark from Berlin's Cult Brand

With the Nays NXT rod series, the Berlin-based cult brand has reached a new level of performance and quality. The various casting and spinning models cover a wide range of applications, all at an exceptionally high standard. Within the Nays NXT Casting range, there is a model for every angler, from extra-light through to big bait. Whether you're targeting perch with small lures, chasing trout and chub on a stream, or hunting down big pike on large open waters, this series covers it all. Premium materials and well-considered functionality combine to deliver an outstanding angling experience at an attractive price-to-performance ratio.

Japanese Carbon of the Highest Order

Every rod in the Nays NXT series is built around a blank made from high-quality Toray carbon from Japan. These blanks are extremely light yet powerful, allowing you to fish all day without fatigue while still having the backbone to handle the largest predators. They are equally renowned for high sensitivity and stability, resulting in sharp bite detection and long casts. The visible carbon weave adds a striking visual detail to an already refined black blank. The Nays NXT Casting delivers everything you'd expect from a top-tier baitcasting rod.

Modern, Timeless and Fully Equipped

Alongside all its high-modulus features, the Nays NXT series boasts a modern yet timeless design. The Berlin trendsetters have opted for a classic black finish with carbon applications, making this rod a genuine head-turner. Fuji Alconite guides ensure a silky-smooth run for your braid and deliver clean line guidance. The Fuji ECS reel seat is also part of the premium specification, providing maximum control and a secure fit for your baitcaster. Rounding off the package is a high-quality EVA grip that offers a confident and comfortable hold at all times.

BTSD

The Nays NXT BTSD is a specialist rod for boat fishing at sea. BTSD stands for Boatside, and this rod is built to take on the largest Scandinavian predators.

NXT (Casting) 2,10 m / 5-21 g

I paired the rod with a Shimano Curado MGL 71 k and am completely satisfied with it. I mainly use the combo for bass fishing. The NXT 5-21g is perfect for that. About the rod: Optics: Completely satisfied, there is nothing to complain about. With the look, Nays was exactly my taste. I'm a fan of simple designs in uniform colors and that's the case here too! The rod is completely black and therefore fits the reel perfectly. The reel holder and handle are also very well done and fit the rest of the rod. processing: There is also nothing to complain about when it comes to workmanship. The rod makes a very high-quality impression. There is nothing wobbling and there are no defects. The roll holder is sturdy and the roll is also tight - it doesn't wobble. The rod rings are well made and straight. I also think it's great that a fixed hook holder is installed at the bottom of the handle. I am not a fan of the “folding holders” which can be attached with an elastic band and prefer a fixed holder. Unfortunately, this is not the case with all high-priced rods - but it is here. Test on water: I tried out the rod with various different baits (e.g. Jug; Chatter; Jerk; Cranks) and didn't think that certain baits couldn't do it at all. You've got everything up and running so far and always received the necessary feedback, which the bait does accordingly. The casting distances are also very good. The rod is super charged and you can also throw bait well in lighter weight classes. A very successful rod all around that I don't want to miss at the moment.

NXT (Casting) BTSD / 2.90 m / 400 g

The rod is deliberately rated at -400g, but from just under 100g it charges perfectly, throws of up to 60 m, for example, are quite fatigue-free with the 87g Westin Swim. With the Prorex tws 400, a super combo for heavy pike fishing. Unfortunately, only fish up to 80cm have been caught so far, so the rod is of course not even reaching its limits. I've already recommended this combo to others! It is addictive to fish this rod... set the alarm, otherwise you lose track of time!
