Specialist Rods for Deep-Sea Lure Fishing
The Okuma Deep Impact S is a rod series developed specifically for fishing soft lures in deep saltwater. Its slim High Modulus Carbon blank is sensitive enough for precise lure control while carrying the power to drive the hook home at depth. That makes it well suited for targeting saltwater species such as cod, coalfish, snapper and many others with soft lures in Norwegian and wider Scandinavian waters, as well as in tropical seas.
Quality Fittings for Hard-Fishing Performance
Alongside its responsive yet powerful blank, the Okuma Deep Impact S comes fitted with a SeaGuide New Concept ring set, each ring built around an SS316 frame and a zirconia insert. When used with braid, these deliver noticeably reduced line friction for smooth, quiet running. The handle is an EVA split grip with an innovative blank protector in the mid-section, and a quality Fuji reel seat locks the fixed spool reel firmly in place. At the butt end, a rubber gimbal adds valuable stability during the fight with hard-running saltwater predators. The Deep Impact S series is built for serious saltwater anglers.
