Rapala Shadow Rap 11 cm in Detail

The Rapala Shadow Rap 11 cm is a hard lure built around one of the most effective triggers in predator fishing: the sight of a dying baitfish. Thanks to its integrated tungsten and steel weighting system, the head tips downwards when you work the lure, the body rolls to the side and then holds that position - a movement that is genuinely difficult for a predator to ignore.

The transparent body combines a bone pattern with an internal holographic foil and a scale finish, and it comes into its own at speed. When you jerk or twitch the Shadow Rap hard, it darts from side to side and flashes its flanks - the internal metal coating catching the light with every change of direction. Running depth sits between 0.6 m and 1.2 m, making it effective across a wide range of presentations.

How to Fish It

Whether you jerk it fast or work it with a slower twitch, the Shadow Rap responds with the same head-down, body-rolling action. That versatility across different retrieves and presentations is built in - and when a predator does commit, the sharp VMC Black Nickel treble hooks make sure it stays on.
