Savage Gear Salmonoid SG8 Travel

Your Travel Rod for Coast and River

The Savage Gear Salmonoid SG8 Travel is a high-specification spinning rod from the SG8 series by the Danish tackle brand. Designed specifically for coast and river fishing, this travel rod lets you chase salmonids and other predators wherever your travels take you. Its moderately fast action gets light to medium lures out to maximum casting distance while still delivering the backbone you need to handle hard-fighting predators. The rod breaks down into 4 sections, making it easy to pack into any luggage.

High-End Carbon Technology

Like every rod in the SG8 series, the Salmonoid SG8 Travel is built around state-of-the-art carbon technology. The combination of premium Japanese 46T Toray Carbon blanks and 4X Wrap V2 Technology produces a blank that is both ultra-light and highly responsive. The Reset Accellarator Technology adds a fast recovery speed, giving you the power to drive the hook home and the flex to absorb the runs and jumps of hard-fighting predators.

Design and Finish

The Salmonoid SG8 Travel has a clean, understated look: a black blank with silver accents gives it a refined appearance. The premium cork handle provides a visual contrast and sits comfortably in the hand. Fitted into the handle is the Fuji reel seat, which keeps your fixed spool reel locked securely in place. The Fuji K SiC guides are known for their long service life and allow for excellent casting distances. The rod is supplied in a high-quality neoprene competition rod bag.
