Long-Casting Sea Trout Spoon with Line Thru Design

The Savage Gear Line Thru Zerling is a sea trout spoon available in several sizes. Designed specifically for sea trout fishing, it also works well for cod. Cast from a special alloy, the spoon has a slow sink rate and maximum action on the drop - including a full 360-degree rotation during the fall. That rotation makes pauses in the retrieve irresistible to sea trout, so building in the occasional stop is well worth it. The weight distribution is optimised for maximum casting distance, which on open coastlines often makes the difference between reaching fish and falling short.

The other key feature is the line thru design: the line runs freely through the body, so after a take the fish is connected directly to the leader rather than to the weight of the lure. Trout are experts at using the lure as a lever to shake the hook, and the line thru system makes that far harder to do, significantly reducing hook pulls.

Matt Finish with UV-Active and Fluorescent Colours

The Savage Gear Line Thru Zerling is designed to attract through colour rather than flash. All variants carry a matt finish to eliminate unwanted light reflections, while UV-active and fluorescent colours and accents provide strong visibility without giving off any telltale glare. For the same reason, the treble hook has a Black Nickel coating that prevents reflections from alerting fish and also offers corrosion protection - important in saltwater. The treble itself is made from high carbon steel, making it extremely strong and very sharp.
