Sea Trout Lure with Line-Through System
The Savage Gear 3D Line Thru Sandeel is a classic sea trout lure available in various lengths. Modelled closely on its natural counterpart, the sand eel, it has a rounded, elongated body profile. Running through the ABS body is a smooth, burr-free channel for internal line routing. This channel sits roughly at the level of the lateral line, offset slightly from the dead centre of the lure. The resulting weight distribution places the centre of gravity below the body's midpoint, producing a uniquely seductive sink action as well as a distinctive swimming behaviour.
Exceptional Casting Distance
The combination of body shape, the Line Thru system and a rearward weight transfer gives the Savage Gear 3D Line Thru Sandeel exceptional casting distance. Its highly aerodynamic design cuts through the air like an arrow even on windy days. That extra reach can make all the difference to your catch rate - particularly when wading limits how far you can physically move out into the water.
A Near-Natural Swimming Action
Just like a real sand eel, the Savage Gear 3D Line Thru Sandeel swims with its head slightly raised, carving a moderate S-curve through the water - closely mimicking a fleeing sand eel. Add twitches or sharp line slaps and you can amplify this effect further. During brief 'stop and go' pauses the lure begins to tumble seductively on the drop.
Fewer Lost Fish Thanks to Line-Through Routing
Because the main line or leader runs directly through the body, the Savage Gear 3D Line Thru Sandeel can slide freely along the line during the fight. This is a real advantage when a sea trout throws violent head shakes and surging runs in an attempt to shed the lure. In those moments the lure simply slides up the line, giving the fish no leverage to work the hook free. The result is fewer lost fish and more successful landings.
Key Facts:
- Line Thru system - smooth internal line-routing channel through the ABS body
- Seductive action - moderate S-curve retrieve and tumbling sink on the pause
- Exceptional casting distance - aerodynamic body with rearward weight transfer
- Realistic sand eel imitation
- Available in various sizes and colours
- Target species: sea trout, sea bass, garfish & co.
