Savage Gear 3D Whitefish Shad XL

A Real Chunk for Big Pike

The Savage Gear 3D Whitefish Shad XL is a serious big bait built for big pike. This soft lure is based on a 3D scan of a real whitefish - a species that pike are particularly fond of. The bulky head displaces a substantial amount of water and ensures rock-solid stability at any retrieve speed. The oversized paddle tail is no compromise: it generates a pronounced rolling and kicking action that, combined with the detailed photo-print finishes, commands serious attention beneath the surface. On top of that, the Savage Gear 3D Whitefish Shad XL comes treated with the well-known Savage Gear attractant and features a large glass rattle in the tail for extra stimulus.

Ready-Rigged on the Proven Line Thru System

A big bait of this calibre calls for a dedicated rig, and Savage Gear have gone with their proven Line Thru System here, as they do with their other large lures. The system runs a 49-strand titanium leader through the head and along the full length of the body. Fitted with 2 ultra-sharp SGY treble hooks and a reinforced tail section, you can be confident that very few pike will get off. There is another benefit to this setup: the soft plastic is kept well away from the pike's teeth and stays intact far longer as a result. A small eye underneath the head allows you to attach additional weight, so you can fine-tune the sink rate of the 3D Whitefish Shad XL to suit the conditions.
