Savage Gear Alpha SG8 Monster

The Name Says It All

The Savage Gear Alpha SG 8 Monster was built for one purpose: handling the largest and heaviest lures in the big bait category. With its exceptional power and lightweight construction, it gives you a genuine edge when you're targeting big pike. It comes in several variants to cover the full range of big bait fishing, and its rod-building technology means that casting heavy lures all day is no longer a drain on your energy.

Top-End Carbon Technology for Fast Action and a Powerful Backbone

At the heart of the Savage Gear Alpha SG8 Monster sits a high-performance carbon blank, built from premium 46T Toray Carbon from Japan and refined with Nano 400 T1100G Carbon technology. The result is a blank that is light yet highly responsive. Its fast action and strong backbone let you work large, heavy lures with precision and still generate enough power to reach the distances you need. Thanks to the Reset Accelerator Technology, the blank returns to position with exceptional speed. On the strike, it delivers the power to drive the hook home firmly in the mouth of large predators.

Timeless Design, Premium Fittings

The Savage Gear Alpha SG8 Monster backs up its performance with a look to match. The classic black finish with cross wrapping gives it a clean, timeless appearance, complemented by Duragrip STC handle material that rounds off the design and provides a secure grip during the fight - keeping the rod firmly in hand even when a big pike tests every bit of your strength. The premium specification is completed by Fuji K SiC guides and a Fuji reel seat, making the Savage Gear Alpha SG8 Monster a serious tool for any big fish hunter.
