A Jerkbait Built for Distance

The Savage Gear Deviator Swim is a lipless jerkbait available in 3 sizes that casts and fishes equally well on a fixed spool reel or a baitcaster. Its aerodynamic profile is only part of the story - the internal weight transfer system uses rattling balls that slide back on the cast, maximising distance and making it an outstanding search bait for covering large areas of water. It targets pike and zander with equal confidence, and in the smallest size it is highly effective on big perch.

Steady Retrieve, Twitch, or Jerk

The Savage Gear Deviator Swim responds to a range of retrieves. Wound in steadily, it produces a subtle S-glide with a gentle flash from the flanks. Twitched or jerked, it kicks hard to the side and flashes far more aggressively. You can drive those impulses either through the rod tip or by cranking the reel handle in sharp bursts - both work well. Beyond its excellent action and built-in rattles, the Deviator Swim also offers strong visual appeal through a range of photo-print finishes that run from realistic natural patterns to eye-catching fluo colours. When a predator moves in, the sharp SGY 1X BN treble hooks do their job reliably. The body itself is hard ABS with a wire-through construction, so the whole lure is built to last through session after session.
