Savage Gear Wide Glide Scandal SS

A Big Swimbait for Big Predators

The Savage Gear Wide Glide Scandal SS is a large swimbait and glidebait built specifically for pike and other big predators. Available in 20 cm and 25 cm, both sizes carry more than enough bulk to tempt even the largest pike. The photo-print finish and the Twin Skin design with attractant make this hard lure almost impossible for predators to ignore.

Versatile Action with Long, Wide Glides

It is not just the looks that make the Savage Gear Wide Glide Scandal SS such a capable pike lure - the action is what really sets it apart. As the name suggests, this hard lure delivers an extremely wide gliding action. Worked correctly, it sweeps long, sweeping arcs through the water, drawing the attention of predators from a distance. That said, there is plenty of room to vary the retrieve. Depending on whether you twitch it, work it on a stop & go, and how frequently you introduce pulls and pauses, it will produce either tight or wide movement patterns. At a high retrieval frequency the glide is interrupted and a direction change triggered, tightening the overall path. Give it more time and it will glide correspondingly further. Add pauses into the retrieve and the Wide Glide Scandal SS first hangs with perfect horizontal balance before beginning to sink slowly. This opens up a deadly range of retrieve combinations that will draw a strike even from the most reluctant follower.

Reusable Storage Packaging

The Savage Gear Wide Glide Scandal SS comes in a specially designed package that is well worth keeping rather than throwing away. It stores the swimbait safely and with care: air can circulate, allowing the lure to dry, and the proper storage keeps the action in the best possible condition.
