The Shimano Bantam World Minnow Flashboost is an 11.5 cm, 17 g minnow that doubles up as a highly effective twitchbait. As an addition to the Bantam World lineup, it runs to a maximum depth of 1.5 m, making it well suited to shallower water. Cranked steadily through current it is a reliable producer for asp, while twitched it drives largemouth bass and pike into a frenzy. Don't underestimate it for zander either - worked slowly on a steady retrieve after dark, it can be surprisingly effective. To get the most out of the lure, Shimano has built in 3 separate boost technologies: FLASH BOOST, JET BOOST and SCALE BOOST.

FLASH BOOST for Extra Reflection

The FLASH BOOST technology uses a foil mirror suspended on fine, sensitive springs inside the body of the lure. The springs are delicate enough to vibrate with even the slightest movement, and when you pause the retrieve they continue to oscillate, generating extra flashes of reflected light while the suspending minnow hangs stationary in the water. Because the mirror sits within a clear section of the body, it creates a highly seductive visual trigger that predators find hard to ignore.

JET BOOST for Maximum Casting Performance

The JET BOOST technology is an internal moving weight controlled by a spring-based centre-of-gravity system. During the cast, the weight shifts towards the tail of the lure, improving aerodynamics for greater distance and casting accuracy - even into a headwind the lure holds a stable flight path. Once it enters the water, the spring pushes the weight back to its central resting position. Perfectly balanced, the lure then delivers its excellent swimming action, working reliably on both a steady retrieve and a twitch.

SCALE BOOST for a Realistic Finish

The SCALE BOOST technology is a three-dimensional holographic foil applied to the body of the Shimano Bantam World Minnow Flashboost. It replicates the scale pattern of a real baitfish with striking accuracy, giving the hard lure a highly realistic appearance.
