Sportex Curve RS-3 Perch

Technically Refined Perch Rods with a Sporting Edge

The Sportex Curve RS-3 Perch are the perch rods from the Curve RS Series in its third generation. Designed specifically for perch, they feature a sensitive tip and fine action that deliver precise lure presentation with maximum lure control. You feel exactly where your lure is, how it behaves, and every last gentle contact - whether a bite or the bottom. That direct feedback and full control come from a finely tuned blank built from Japanese High Performance Carbon. The rods carry a Medium Fast Action, with the bend running from the tip to just above the mid-section before transitioning into a stiff backbone. That even curve and high recovery speed produce strong casting performance with both distance and precision. On long casts, the backbone comes into its own and ensures a solid strike. The Curve RS-3 Perch are technically refined rods with a sporting design - a pleasure to fish and a pleasure to look at.

Characteristic Soft Action, Now with a Touch More Speed

The third generation of the Sportex Curve RS is built on a very light and durable blank made from Japanese High Performance Carbon by Toray. The rods retain the characteristic soft action the series is known for, though in response to customer feedback it has been made slightly faster. The blank is reinforced with Carbon-Mesh in the handle area, giving the rod additional stability and robustness. KL and KT SiC rings sit along the blank - slim, light, and still highly stable. They are sized perfectly for each individual rod and support casting performance for long, accurate casts, with smooth, pleasantly quiet line flow. The Seaguide D-Hook hook keeper is fitted lower on the blank, holding your hook securely during breaks and sitting in a position where it does not interfere when you rest your finger on the blank. The handle on this third generation is a stylish EVA split grip with an HVS reel seat. The grip design is well-considered, offering above all a very comfortable feel in hand. The reel seat holds your fixed spool reel securely while keeping weight low and adding to the overall look. With the Curve RS-3, smart, sporting aesthetics and strong performance come together - something you feel the moment you're on the water.
