Westin Add-It Jointed Stinger Single / 32 kg

Westin is a Scandinavian brand that has built a strong reputation in predator fishing through innovative thinking and consistent build quality.

A Single-Treble Stinger with Real Versatility

The Westin Add-It Jointed Stinger Single is fitted with one treble hook and is designed for medium to medium-large soft lures. Just as with the twin-treble versions, Westin has focused on extreme durability and broad versatility here. That means you can combine it freely with shallow screws, screw-in heads and standard jig heads. At the front, the stinger features a screw that anchors it securely into the head of the shad. Two baitholders along the body keep the stinger correctly positioned on the soft lure. The Westin Add-It Jointed Stinger Single works particularly well for zander fishing, since it sits cleanly on medium-sized shads - but it also performs strongly when pike fishing on a shallow rig.

The Advantages of a Swivel-Based Connection

Rather than using standard steel wire, Westin connects the jointed stinger sections with swivels. Look closely and the reasons become clear. First, these stingers are noticeably more durable. Steel wire can kink and, once kinked, loses a significant proportion of its breaking strain - something that simply cannot happen with a swivel-based system, given how freely it flexes. That same flexibility delivers a second benefit: because the stinger can rotate freely through 360 degrees, it becomes far harder for a predator to lever the hook free during the fight. Finally, there is the added weight to consider, which is especially relevant for shallow rig set-ups. A shad tracks considerably more stably when there is a defined weight centre along the belly - and that is exactly what you get with the Westin Add-It Jointed Stinger Single.
