This is an 8-strand braid developed specifically for lure fishing, built from premium Japanese UHMPE fibres that are woven and finished using a specialist construction process. Smooth Surface with High Abrasion Resistance and Reduced Water Absorption

Thanks to its Advanced High PIC weave, the Westin W6 8-Braid offers increased abrasion resistance. The 8 fibres feature a 36 PIC construction and are tightly braided, producing a smooth surface that translates into excellent casting properties. These casting properties are taken further by the Dura Coating Gel process, which makes the surface even smoother and also hydrophobic, meaning the line absorbs significantly less water - all factors that make the W6 8-Braid a strong performer on the cast.

Colour That Lasts

Colour longevity is a key focus in the production of the Westin W6 8-Braid. The line is soaked in dye tanks and then heat-cured in an oven, baking the colour particles deep into the weave for a far more durable bond. The final Dura layer seals the surface and further extends colour life, making the Westin W6 8-Braid a reliable line that holds its colour over the long term.
