Z-Man ChatterBait Mini 7.0 g (1/4 oz)

Z-Man has been part of the lure fishing scene for over 30 years. That kind of experience shows in every product they make, and their ChatterBaits are a prime example of what that know-how delivers.

The Z-Man ChatterBait Mini 7 g Up Close

Worth knowing before you fish it: the weight stated by Z-Man refers to the lead head only, so the lure actually weighs around 10 g in total and measures approximately 7.5 cm in overall length. The hook is roughly equivalent to a size 4/0 and is both extremely sharp and robust. As a trailer, we recommend the Finesse Filet in 11 cm or the Köfi Ukelei in 11 cm - both flutter beautifully behind the chatterbait.

The Secret Behind the ChatterBait

There is a lively debate about whether a chatterbait counts as a standalone lure or simply as a soft lure rig, given that you can thread a trailer onto the hook. How you see that is a matter of philosophy. What matters on the water is that a chatterbait generates extreme pressure waves underwater. This is down to the blade positioned in front of the lure, which vibrates rapidly and at high frequency on the retrieve.

What Makes Z-Man ChatterBaits Stand Out

The blade - that small metal plate - features a patented design and goes by the name ChatterBlade®. On top of that, the skirt can be swapped out at any time with minimal fuss, which makes this lure highly versatile in use.
