Zeck Barsch-Alarm Cast

A Superb Range of Baitcasting Rods for Perch, Developed in Close Collaboration with Johannes Dietel

Zeck developed the Barsch-Alarm rod series in close collaboration with Johannes Dietel. The Zeck Barsch-Alarm Cast comprises 7 different baitcasting rods built primarily for perch fishing, giving you a wide choice for virtually every technique. All rods feature a highly sensitive blank made from premium 40T Toray carbon, fitted with lightweight Fuji SIC Feather Light Duty guides with stainless steel frames. The close guide spacing increases sensitivity and delivers exceptional feedback. From the handle to the second guide, the rods are finished with a decorative wrap; above that, the blank runs bare with a slightly textured surface.

The handle is a split grip combining different materials. At the front, the reel seat features a carbon-look finish that matches the decorative wrap. Behind it sits the Fuji reel seat, followed by the cork section where you actually hold the rod. Cork feels comfortable in any weather and at any temperature, and provides excellent feel in the hand. The grip is completed by an EVA section and a solid rubber end cap. That rubber cap lets you set the rod down quietly in hard-bottomed boats - aluminium or other metal hulls - without the clatter that can spook fish.

The rods have short grip lengths as standard, which makes them well suited for use from a boat, float tube or kayak without the handle catching on clothing. For easy transport they are two-piece, yet lose nothing of their action. The Zeck Barsch-Alarm Cast series is thought through to the last detail and promises a great deal of fishing enjoyment.

The Twitch & Play Series

The Twitch & Play Series consists of shorter rods and is ideally suited for close-range fishing. They let you cast with great precision, and the lure control is extremely accurate and sensitive. These rods are particularly well suited for rigs and twitchbaits. Please note that the casting weight figure is effectively a lure weight - it refers to the weight of the twitchbaits being used. When fishing with less resistance-heavy lures and methods such as finesse rigs, the rods will handle a few grams more.

The Search & Jig Series

The Search & Jig Series comes into its own when casting distance and confident hook-setting at range are what matter. To achieve this, the rods are longer than most baitcasting rods and are therefore an excellent choice for bank anglers and boat anglers on large waters. Whenever more distance typically means more fish, these rods are exactly what you need. They perform best with soft plastics on a jig head, Cheburashka rig or skirted jig. Beyond perch fishing, the Search & Jig MH also works very well for light zander fishing. The most powerful rod in the range, the Search & Jig H, goes a step beyond its equivalent in the spinning range. You can work larger spinnerbaits and deep-running crankbaits with it, and it is also well suited to anyone looking for a rod for medium-weight zander fishing or light pike fishing.
