The Ideal Searchbait
The Zeck Blade Shaker is a metal lure available in various sizes and colours that has everything a solid searchbait needs. Its combination of exceptional casting distance and strong vibration makes it attractive to perch, trout, chub, zander, asp and, in the larger sizes, even pike. You can work it effectively at any depth in the water column, and it produces some explosive bites. For the material, the Zeck team opted for a lead-free Zamak alloy.
A Single Treble Hook to Reduce Snags
The Zeck Blade Shaker was deliberately designed with a single treble hook at the rear of the lure. This allows you to fish close to the bottom without the elevated snag risk that a second hook would bring. Thanks to the compact lure size, the hook-up rate is barely affected and remains consistently high. Fewer snags, but still plenty of fish - it's a combination that makes a lot of sense.
Simple Retrieve, Effective at Every Depth
With the Zeck Blade Shaker you can cover all depths from surface to bottom. The retrieve is extremely straightforward - in most cases, a steady wind is all it takes. Under tension the lure starts to vibrate and draws predators in. That said, you can also vary the presentation. It works particularly well for speed jigging in open water, where a fast, aggressive retrieve gets the vibrations firing as quickly as possible. Near the bottom, work it on the reel rather than with the rod tip - think of it like the 'Faulenzen' technique, but without pauses, using different retrieve speeds instead. Wind faster to lift it off the bottom, slow down to let it sink back under tension. The body design and weight distribution keep it running very steadily with the head angled downward. As it tracks along, the nose will repeatedly tap the bottom and kick up sediment - an additional trigger that predators find hard to ignore.
Four Attachment Eyes to Tune the Vibration
What makes the Zeck Blade Shaker even more versatile is the set of four attachment eyes into which you can clip your snap. Each eye produces a different intensity of vibration, from the mildest at the front through to the rearmost, which delivers the strongest vibration of all. There is a practical advantage here beyond pure attraction: lighter vibrations also mean less water resistance, giving you better stability in strong current. In still water, by contrast, you can make full use of the maximum vibration setting. The Zeck Blade Shaker is a genuine all-round searchbait worth having in your lure box.

The Blade Shaker in 4.5 cm/Purple Chartreuse absolutely convinced me. The barrel is really exceptional — the bait creates strong vibrations but remains very stable and runs cleanly through the water.
