Zeck Murdock 2.0 10.5 cm / 1.4 m

The Murdock 2.0 – Compact and Deep Running

The Zeck Murdock 2.0 10.5 cm is available here in the 1.4 m running depth variant. Like its shallower sibling, this is the revised version of the original Murdock, featuring a bolder design with Angry Eyes. The body is identical to the Murdock 2.0 10.5 cm 0.5 m shallow runner - the difference is the longer bill, which drives the lure down to greater depths. It's a great choice for slow rolling at night over slightly deeper spots for zander, and equally effective for twitching for pike and big perch.

More Stability and Silent by Design

Like all the current Zeck hard lures, the Zeck Murdock 2.0 10.5 cm / 1.4 m features an attachment eye that extends deep into the body. This provides greater resistance to breakage when the lure makes contact with rocks, bridge pillars and similar obstacles. To ensure the extended eye doesn't compromise the swim, every single lure is individually tested and adjusted where necessary. That extra care pays off - the running behaviour of these plugs is very good. This model also comes without a rattle, keeping things quiet and subtle for waters where a discreet presentation makes all the difference. Zander in particular tend to respond well to silent hard lures. The action and the excellent colour patterns provide more than enough attraction to bring fish to the hook.

How to Fish It

Work it slowly at night over deeper spots for zander, or twitch it for pike and big perch. The silent running makes it particularly effective on pressured waters where a more subtle approach is needed.
