Built to a High Standard - Worth Every Cast

The Zeck SRM is a fixed spool reel available in 4 different sizes, designed specifically for perch, zander and pike fishing. After many customer requests for smaller variants of the popular wels catfish and large pike reels, Carsten Zeck set out to deliver exactly that - a reel developed alongside the same manufacturer behind the SR5 and SR10, following a thorough and extensive testing phase by the Zeck team. The goal was a top-tier model that stands its ground against any competition, completing the option of a full Zeck combo.

Straight Gear Ratio and High Line Pick-Up

The gearbox of the Zeck SRM is one of its standout features and currently almost unique at this reel size. A straight gear ratio combined with a high line pick-up has all but disappeared in this size category - yet it is precisely this combination that takes lure animation and lure control to another level. Experienced anglers such as Sebastian Hänel and Uli Beyer use the technique of running a finger along the line for even greater sensitivity and feedback. The straight 6.0:1 gear ratio of the Zeck SRM 2000 to 4000 is ideal for this approach. The 1000 size, however, was deliberately given a lower 5.2:1 ratio, as finesse when targeting perch and trout takes priority at that scale.

Light, Robust and Saltwater-Ready

The body of the Zeck SRM is made from magnesium, keeping the reel light yet robust. The sealed drag system is fitted with carbon drag washers and delivers 6 kg of drag on the 1000 size, a strong 9 kg on the 2000 and 3000 variants, and up to 10 kg on the 4000. As the Zeck team has demonstrated in numerous tests, this reel has the power to handle large predators. The fine drag adjustment means you can dial in exactly the right setting quickly and get straight to the fishing. Thanks to passivation treatment, the Zeck SRM is well protected against saltwater, making it an equally capable companion at the coast and at sea.

Premium Ball Bearings and Precise Line Lay

The Zeck SRM is equipped with 9+1 high-quality ball bearings that promise long-term durability and work seamlessly with every other component. The result is a silky-smooth retrieve and outstanding stability that you'll notice on every cast. The precise line lay and the rubber-lined spool are ideally suited to braid. A one-piece bail arm ensures the line flows smoothly into the line roller, while the robust handle arm rounds off the package and can be mounted for both left- and right-hand use.

Extra-Shallow Spool on the 2000

Please note that the Zeck SRM 2000 has a lower line capacity than the Zeck SRM 1000. This is due to its extra-shallow spool.
