Sportex Absolut Level 3 (Baitcast)

The Sportex Absolut Level 3 Baitcasting Rods - 2024 Edition

The Sportex Absolut Level 3 (Baitcast) are the baitcasting rods from this thoroughly revised premium rod series. The reworked 2024 version is better than ever. A Helicore blank built from T1100 carbon fibres and specialist epoxy resin gives each rod low weight combined with high resilience. On the cast, the outstanding acceleration values deliver excellent casting performance - long distances and tight accuracy in equal measure. That same blank sensitivity translates directly into exceptional bite detection. Yet these rods are not only sensitive; they carry the backbone to subdue large, hard-fighting predators with confidence.

Build Quality and Premium Components

The Sportex Absolut Level 3 (Baitcast) feature an Extra Fast blank fitted with highly durable, lightweight SiC rings in KL/KT style. These rings are particularly abrasion-resistant, making them an excellent choice for braid, and their sizes are matched precisely to each individual rod. Also mounted on the blank is the Seaguide D-Hook hook keeper, which holds virtually any hook securely and stays well clear of your finger when you grip the blank. The robust split EVA Duplon handle is paired with a high-quality Fuji ACS reel seat. The combination of first-rate construction and premium components makes the Absolut Level 3 (Baitcast) outstanding rods in every respect.

From All-Round to Specialist

The Sportex Absolut Level 3 (Baitcast) range currently comprises 3 rods. The lightest is the AB2100, with a casting weight of 3-19 g. This rod is particularly versatile and handles light soft lures, hard lures and metal lures equally well. The other two rods - the AB1950 Pelagic and the AB2257 SharpShoot - are specialists whose purpose is already written into the name. The AB1950 Pelagic features an extended rear grip that gives you a secure hold when targeting large pelagic predators with vertical jigging. The AB2257 SharpShoot is the precision tool for spotting big fish with live techniques and casting accurately to them. It delivers pinpoint-accurate casts and carries the extra stiff backbone you need to drive the hook home on large zander and pike.
