Abu Garcia Max5

A Capable Baitcaster for Big Baits and Trolling

The Abu Garcia Max5 is a powerful baitcaster available in 2 sizes, built for large lures and big predators. Whether you're throwing big baits or trolling, this reel is a solid choice. The Duragear brass gearing combined with a 95 mm aluminium handle and oversized knobs gives you real robustness and cranking power for demanding sessions. Despite that strength, the low-profile C6 Carbon body sits comfortably in the hand, so you can fish through long days without fatigue.

High Line Capacity and Strong Brakes

The Abu Garcia Max5 offers an impressive line capacity - 215 m or 260 m of 0.36 mm braid depending on the size - giving you plenty of reserve when big fish run. That makes it a credible option not just for large pike but also for wels catfish. The Power Stack Carbon Matrix drag handles hard runs smoothly, releasing line with consistent, even pressure. On the cast, the Mag Trax braking system lets you dial the reel in precisely for the lure you're using, keeping backlashes firmly in check. A solid baitcaster for anyone chasing big predators.
