Abu Garcia RockSweeper (Casting)

The RockSweeper Series Returns

The Abu Garcia RockSweeper (Casting) are baitcasting rods and the latest generation of a legendary series that caused a real stir among predator anglers when it first appeared. These new rods live up to that reputation. Blank, handle and guides are expertly matched, resulting in rods that deliver a superb feel on the water. They sit beautifully balanced in the hand, and thanks to their high sensitivity you can work your lure with exceptional precision. Even the lightest tap comes through clearly, so you never miss a bite. Under pressure, these rods reveal a strong backbone that lets you play big fish with confidence, even on the lighter models. The RockSweeper (Casting) range covers several models, from medium-heavy perch fishing through to heavier pike work, so there is a rod to suit every angler.

36T Carbon Blank with Powerlux 200 Nano-Resin Reinforcement

The Abu Garcia RockSweeper (Casting) is built around a 36T Carbon blank enhanced with Powerlux 200 nano-resin. The 36T carbon delivers low weight, very high sensitivity, excellent feedback, a very fast recovery speed and remarkable strength. The nano-resin increases resistance to breakage and impact, making the blank noticeably more robust. What sets the nano-resin apart is that its nano-particles bond the carbon fibre far more effectively, which means less resin is needed overall. This keeps the rod weight down and further improves the balance.

Blank and Components Working in Harmony

The blank is only part of the story - the components that complete the Abu Garcia RockSweeper (Casting) are equally impressive. The guide train uses Fuji LRV Alconite rings, which are lightweight, highly durable and work perfectly with braid. The handle combines an AAA Grade cork split grip with a Fuji ACS reel seat. This design feels great in hand, gives you direct contact with the blank and provides an outstanding mount for your baitcaster. Every element of the RockSweeper (Casting) pulls together, producing rods that are simply a pleasure to fish with.
