Abu Garcia Svartzonker Classic Motoroil Cast Series

Swedish manufacturer Abu Garcia has been supplying anglers worldwide with high-quality tackle for almost a century.

A Baitcasting Rod Series - Not Just for Motoroil Lures

Claes Claesson, the mind behind the Abu Garcia Svartzonker Series, is an exceptionally experienced and inventive predator angler. With the Svartzonker Classic Motoroil Series, he has created a truly distinctive rod series that combines classic aesthetics with modern features. The name might raise an eyebrow at first - you'd be forgiven for thinking these rods were designed specifically for fishing the popular lure colour "Motoroil". That's not the story behind it, though. The name comes from the rods' special finish, which shifts in tone depending on the light, shimmering green or brown according to the conditions. It's a striking effect that makes these rods a genuine visual treat.

On the water, they perform just as well as they look, with outstanding build quality and spec throughout. The Seaguide XOG guides are tangle-free and handle your line smoothly without causing any wear. The Fuji reel seat locks any baitcaster firmly in place and sits extremely comfortably in the hand. It also maintains direct contact with the blank, so feedback from the rod reaches you unfiltered. Fast recovery and crisp actions make this series particularly well suited to fishing with soft lures.

Ambitious predator anglers should take a closer look at what's on offer here.

The Abu Garcia Svartzonker Classic Motoroil Cast Series Heavy Lure: This is the rod for truly big lures, handling casting weights of over 200 g. Its length and balanced action make presenting these heavyweights effortless.

The Abu Garcia Svartzonker Classic Motoroil Cast Series Jawbreaker: This model is for anyone targeting pike with medium-sized soft lures who also wants the option to work jerkbaits. It handles jerks up to 120 g without difficulty, and its shorter length means you can still work those lures effectively through the rod.
