A Two-Piece Swimbait for Pike

The Balzer Pike Buddy is a two-piece, slow-sinking swimbait for pike fishing with a high-backed profile. This hard lure works well on a straight retrieve as well as when twitched. Wind it in steadily and it tracks with a smooth S-curve action; twitch it and it kicks to the side before gliding forward. Both approaches are highly effective for pike. Much of this behaviour comes from the soft tail fin - a spare tail is included in the box.

Variable Running Depth and Fewer Lost Fish

The Balzer Pike Buddy has an additional eye on the underside of the head where a drop weight can be attached, taking the swimbait down to greater running depths. When the bite comes, the treble hooks hold reliably. They are mounted on ball-bearing swivels so they can rotate freely, which means a lower risk of fish shaking the hook.
