Berkley PowerBait Vamper

A Lively V-Tail Shad for Vertical Jigging & Pelagic Fishing

The Berkley PowerBait Vamper is the successor to the Sick Vamper and, like its predecessor, comes in 18 and 22 cm. The shape has stayed the same, but the colour patterns are new - and they turn heads. This V-tail shad is fitted with a large, thin forked tail that kicks into action with even the slightest movement. That makes it ideal for holding vertically in the water column while the boat and wave action do the work. As a result, it performs exceptionally well for classic vertical jigging and targeted pelagic presentations aimed at large zander and pike. The 18 cm version also holds its own when jigged actively, where it has established itself as a reliable zander catcher. The body has a triangular cross-section - slightly deeper-backed than most V-tail shads - which causes the lure to roll hard onto its flanks during an aggressive retrieve. That exaggerated rolling action gives big predators an extra reason to commit.

Flexible, Tough and Loaded with PowerBait Attractant

The Berkley PowerBait Vamper is moulded from flexible yet robust plastisol that stands up to catch after catch. The material is also loaded with PowerBait attractant, which encourages cautious predators to strike and keeps them holding on longer - exactly what you need for productive vertical jigging and pelagic sessions.
