The Climax PE X8 Neverfade Baitcast is an 8-braid made in Germany, developed specifically for use with baitcasters. It is built from CLS PE fibres, processed using the CLS (ColorLockSystem) method: colour molecules are introduced directly into the UHMW-PE fibre mass, so the material itself holds the colour rather than being dyed on the surface. That makes a significant difference - abrasion, UV light and even solvents cannot affect the colour, which remains permanently intact. Because the line does not need to be dyed after production, the coating process can focus entirely on other refinements. In the PE X8 Neverfade Baitcast, that focus falls on nano-resins. These increase the structural integrity of the line body and with it the dimensional stability. The tight weave combined with the surface coating and the material properties also allows this braid to run through the rod rings particularly quietly, thanks to its smooth surface. Tying knots benefits from these same properties: a line this round ties cleanly and consistently, which increases knot strength. As an extra tip, Climax recommends doubling the tag end when tying.
