The Climax PE X8 Neverfade is an 8-strand braid made in Germany, built around one of the most persistent frustrations with braided lines: colour fade. This line keeps its colour permanently. Made from CLS PE fibres, it is produced using the CLS (ColorLockSystem) process, in which the colour molecules are introduced directly into the UHMW-PE fibre mass. The colour becomes an inherent property of the material itself rather than a surface treatment. Abrasion, UV exposure and even solvents cannot break it down - in sharp contrast to conventionally dyed lines, where the colour sits only on the surface and gradually wears and fades with use. The result is a line with ultra-strong fibres, a permanently brilliant appearance, and consistently reliable bite detection and lure control.

At 46 PPI - that is, 46 braids per inch - the Climax PE X8 Neverfade features an exceptionally tight weave that produces a particularly round and smooth structure. This translates directly into outstanding casting performance. Thanks to the compact construction and the CLS process, the line does not absorb water, meaning only a minimal moisture film forms on the rod rings. Where water absorption would otherwise compromise the slide, this line shoots through the rings with ease. The tight weave also gives the line a compact, dimensionally stable and robust body. It does not fray, and flattening under load is significantly reduced. This near-mono-like stability means that when the line contacts rocks, shells or sharp edges, only the outermost fibre layer is affected while the inner fibres stay protected - resulting in reduced abrasion and greater longevity. The consistent roundness also makes the line straightforward to knot cleanly, which improves knot strength. As an extra tip, Climax recommends doubling the line end when tying knots.
